Research into Thriller Genre

The thriller genre is all about suspense, tension, and keeping the audience guessing. These films often focus on crime, mystery, conspiracies, or psychological conflict. What makes thrillers exciting is how they create unease and anticipation, even in quiet moments, through lighting, set design, sound, and small details like props or character movement. Some thrillers are subtle, relying on realistic settings and psychological tension, while others are more dramatic, using exaggerated visuals and intense action to keep viewers on edge.

I want to work in thrillers because I enjoy creating stories that keep people engaged and on the edge of their seats. I like the challenge of using visuals, sound, and pacing to build tension, and finding ways to make ordinary moments feel unsettling or suspenseful. The genre allows me to experiment creatively while making the audience feel emotions strongly, which is something I find really exciting about filmmaking. Besides, it is also the type of genre which is the most exciting to film while being the type that requires the most creativity too.

Furthermore, with a combination of Psychological genre, it opens various more doors of creative codes and conventions and other fun elements to shoot, while also making plot twists more plausible.
